TRANSNATIONAL PROJECT MEETING
for FATOS2U IN BRAGA, PORTUGAL
On October 25, 2024, the final transnational meeting of the partners of the European program FATOS2U took place in Braga, Portugal. This project involves five organizations from five countries: ASDPESO (Portugal), XENIOS POLIS (Greece), GRIPEN EUROPE (Romania), MINE VAGANTI (Italy), and NGO NEST BERLIN (Germany).
During the meeting, the remaining issues for the completion of the program concerning the deliverables were discussed. Particular emphasis was placed on the dissemination of the project, with an exchange of views on the final details of the dissemination plan and the sustainability strategy.

Learning Teaching Training Activities (LTTA)
for FATOS2U in Braga, Portugal
From October 21 to 23, 2024, a three-day training seminar (Learning Teaching Training Activity – LTTA) took place in Braga, Portugal, as part of the European program FATOS2U. This program involves five organizations from five different countries: ASDPESO (Portugal), XENIOS POLIS (Greece), GRIPEN EUROPE (Romania), MINE VAGANTI (Italy), and NGO NEST BERLIN (Germany).
During the seminar, the work of the hosting organization ASDPESO was presented, along with a brief introduction to Braga and Portugal. An expert analyzed issues related to fake news, followed by a discussion among the partners. Additionally, each partner participated in presenting the curriculum, specifically the module they created for the educational program. Furthermore, ASDPESO presented the results of a survey conducted with questionnaires targeting individuals aged 18-25. Finally, there was a brief presentation by the Colegio Jao Paulo II Teachers from Informatics Systems and Communication, along with a mention of the mini-games created by the partners to support the curriculum.

Final Conference for
FATOS2U in Braga, Portugal
On October 24, 2024, the Final Conference of the European program FATOS2U took place in Braga, Portugal. This program involves five organizations from five different countries: ASDPESO (Portugal), XENIOS POLIS (Greece), GRIPEN EUROPE (Romania), MINE VAGANTI (Italy), and NGO NEST BERLIN (Germany).
All partners presented the organizations they belong to, as well as their contributions to the project. At the same time, the representative of GRIPEN EUROPE, as the leader of dissemination, presented the results of the project’s dissemination efforts, while the representative of XENIOS POLIS presented the project deliverables, specifically PR1: Curriculum & Learning Materials Toolkit and PR2: Multifunctional Digital Resources. The conference concluded with a constructive discussion between a fake news expert and the program partners.

Transnational project meeting for
G-FORCE in viterbo, italy
The 2nd Transnational Meeting of the “G-FORCE” project took place on 7-8 October 2024, in Viterbo, Italy, at the University of Tuscia. Representatives from the partner organizations – Panteion University (Greece), University of Tuscia (Italy), XENIOS POLIS (Greece), University of Cadiz (Spain), RESET LTD (Greece) and GRIPEN EUROPE (Romania) – discussed the progress of the research, the development of the curriculum and the next steps.
The GRIPEN EUROPE representative, participating online, updated the group on the timeline for the project’s digital tools, with the project website expected soon. Particular attention was also given to the creation of the web platform, which is expected to be available for piloting in early 2025.

Transnational project meeting
for fatos2u in athens, greece
GRIPEN EUROPE participated in the 2nd Transnational Project Meeting of FATOS2U -Media Education and News Literacy to yoUth against FAKE news reception and implicatiOnS – which took place in Athens on 24-25 July 2024.
The meeting was hosted by the partner organisation XENIOS POLIS (GREECE) and it was attended by representatives from each of the partners: ASDPESO (PORTUGAL), GRIPEN EUROPE (ROMANIA), Mine Vaganti NGO (ITALY) and NGO NEST Berlin (GERMANY).
During the meeting, the partners presented the results achieved so far and a fruitful discussion followed on the next steps in the development of the project results and future meetings.
The representative from GRIPEN EUROPE gave a presentation on the dissemination of the project. GRIPEN EUROPE is responsible for the dissemination of the project. More specifically, she presented the results so far and then presented the activities, tools as well as the timeline of the next dissemination activities.
With a particular focus on media literacy and critical thinking development, the FATOS2U project seeks to empower youth citizens in order to combat fake news and promote civic engagement on matters of great social concern while also strengthening democracy and opposing manipulation, propaganda, and fake news.

Transnational Project Meeting
for GFORCE project in cadiz, Spain
The University of Cadiz had a successful Transnational Project Meeting for the GFORCE initiative on the 4th and 5th of April. The meeting was attended by representatives from each of the partners: Greece, Spain, Romania, Romania, Italy and Cyprus. A member of the research team and representative of GRIPEN EUROPE at the meeting, presented the design of work package 3. GRIPEN is the leader of this package and will deliver THE G-FORCE Digital Toolset.
This includes:
- the creation of the project website,
- the development of a learning environment and the digitisation of the training material,
- the development of an AI+ environment; and
- the creation of 2 mobile apps.
In order to counteract gender bias, the GFORCE project aims:
- to Equip academic staff and students in higher education, representing all gender groups; this will be accomplished through building capacity on gender issues, promoting gender equality objectives, and raising gender awareness.
- to offer state-of-the-art goods and teaching aids that function as needs-based learning materials and lay the groundwork for future graduate and postgraduate programs.
- give them more authority by utilizing the advantages of ICT and digitizing excellent educational materials.
- create the G-FORCE Al+ AI Competence and Networking Center, a digital resource that provides specialized, individualized knowledge on matters pertaining to gender equality, such as sexual harassment, violence, and discrimination against women.
